How do I add or edit Services?

Create, update your services, add cleanup time, processing time, service image, mobile service, outcall service, reorder services, hidden

✂️ Services are for one to one bookings. This means one person can book an appointment with you or your employees (think haircut, massage, facial, counseling, etc...).

Schedulicity offers clients a date and time that works best for them and matches your Schedule.

Add Services

  1. From Settings, choose the Services option

  2. Select Add New at the top right of the page

  3. Add the name, description, whether it's hidden or not, duration, price, and cleanup time.

  4. If it's hidden, it will be available for scheduling only on the business side

  5. There is an option to mark an Outcall service -> this means you travel to your client for the service (and will require them to enter their address)

  6. Click Save or Save and Add Another to add more services!

Once you create your new Service -> assign it to the Provider(s) that offer that service (see steps below) 👇.


Assign Services to a Provider

  • If you're a service-based business -> select what Services your Provider offers.

  • Providers must have services assigned to their Profile to display on the appointment calendar and be bookable 📆

Here's how:

  1. From Settings -> select Providers/Instructors -> click on the Providers name

  2. Choose the Services tab -> Select Edit List

  3. Select which Services they offer -> make any customizations by Provider -> and Update

❗Customize your Services by Provider, to have a Starts At price, or customize the price, duration or cleanup time per Provider.


💡 Pro tip: Specify a cleanup time for Services if you'd like a buffer between appointments, to clean up or prep. The cleanup time is added to the total duration of the service that you see on your end, but NOT to the total that clients see!


Edit a Service

  1. Click the three lines in the top left and navigate to Settings

  2. Select Services

  3. Select the service you’d like to edit

  4. Select the Edit button

  5. Adjust any details of the service that needs to be changed

  6. Save!

❗ Any changes to price and duration will take effect on all appointments booked moving forward, this change won't update appointments already on your calendar. To learn more on updating Service pricing, head here.


Delete a Service

  1. Click the three lines in the top left and navigate to Settings

  2. Select Services

  3. Select the service you’d like to delete

  4. Select the Delete button and confirm

❗ Any appointments booked with that service will stay on your calendar even when the service is deleted and you'll be able to see past appointments with that service.


Hide a Service

  1. Click the three lines in the top left and navigate to Settings

  2. Select Services

  3. Select the service you’d like to hide from online booking -> then select Edit

  4. Turn the toggle for Hidden Service -> ON -> Save

  5. Clients will no longer be able to book the Service online -> though the Service can be booked on the business side


Reorder Services

Reordering services will determine the order that the services are shown on your business listing, as well as how those are listed within the business side of your account.

  1. Open Settings and select Services

  2. Click and hold on the service that you'd like to move, and then move it to where you'd like it to be in the service list

  3. Once you drop it, the order will be automatically saved!


Add an image to your Service

  1. Go to Settings and click on Services

  2. Select the service

  3. Click on the Change Image button

  4. Select a file from the window that pops up

  5. To save click Change Image

📷 If you ever decide you'd like to change that image, click on the small X button by the class or service thumbnail to clear the image.


How do I set up a Mobile Service?

If you offer mobile services, where you travel to your clients, you can mark those services as Outcall Services. This will prompt the system to require clients to enter their physical address as well as build travel time into the service on your calendar!

To mark a service as a mobile service, give these steps a try:

  1. Go to Settings and select Services

  2. Click on the service you’d like to set as a mobile service

  3. Click Edit

  4. Check the box next to Outcall Service

  5. Save!

🚗 Let's also make sure that you have enough time to get where you're going! Edit the amount of travel time that is attached to a mobile service:

  1. Go to Settings and select the "Policies" and then the "Appointment Policies" tile

  2. Under the "Travel Time" header, enter the length of time (in either hours or minutes

  3. Hit the “Save” button!

🏠 Mobile services will display to clients on your service menu with a house icon next to the service name. On your calendar, they will have a car icon. These are additional visual indicators to let you and your clients know what to expect with that service.


🕐 What is Processing Time?

  • Services with Processing Time have a start time in which you will be working with one of your clients, a processing time in which you could schedule other clients, and a finish time in which you will return to the original client in order to finish the service.

Here's an example:

For a Cut and Color service, I would enter Cut and Color as the service name, click on the add processing time link, and I would specify 30 minutes for the start duration as that is how long it takes me to add an all over color. I would specify 30 minutes for the processing time as that is how long it takes the color to set. Then, I would specify 60 minutes for the Haircut and Style. This means that in the middle of the processing time, another client could book if they were scheduling a service that is 30 minutes or less.
