If you've got a meeting coming up that you don't want clients to schedule during, a personal appointment, daily lunch break, or work a split shift, personal time is just the ticket to block that time on your calendar!

🌟 There are two different types of personal time blocks you can add to your Schedulicity calendar: recurring and one-time personal time. Recurring personal time blocks are blackout times that occur on a daily or weekly basis. (For example: your lunch break at 12pm every day, or a standing appointment). One-time personal time blocks are one time occurrences on a specific day (For example: On August 3rd, you have a dentist appointment).

To add a recurring personal time block:

  1. Open your Appointment Calendar and click directly into the date/time that you want a recurring time block

  2. Go ahead and click on the "personal time" button at the top right of the page

  3. Specify how long of a break you need. You can add a description too that will show right on your calendar.

  4. You'll notice the option to make this break recurring (every Tuesday, every other Saturday, etc). You can set this up to occur once a week, every other week, every 5th week, whatever you need!

  5. If you'd like to choose a color for the personal time block on the calendar, select one, and click 'add'.

πŸ’‘ Pro tip: If you typically work split shifts with a blackout period in the middle where you can't take appointments, you can use recurring personal time to block those middle hours off. Just set your work schedule to open at the start of your early shift and close at the end of your late shift, and then add a block of recurring personal time to schedule the blackout period in the middle of your day.

To add a one-time personal time block:

  1. Open your Appointment Calendar and click directly into the date/time that you want to create this block

  2. Click on the "personal time" button at the top right of the page

  3. Specify how long of a break you need. You can add a description too that will show right on your calendar. You'll notice that you can also make this break recurring if you need (every Tuesday, every other Saturday, etc).

  4. If you'd like to choose a color for the personal time block on the calendar, select one, and click "add."
