We Care Banner and Contribute Button
With these trying and uncertain times we are currently in—with things so up in the air for so many of us—we know there's still a lot of love going around. We know this because we've heard from so many of your clients in recent weeks asking how they can donate money to support their favorite businesses! 😊
To answer their kindness and generosity to support you, we've rolled out a brand new feature that allows clients to do just that. On your booking page, you'll now see that clients have an easy way to support you through donations of up to $200—sort of like digital tipping!
At the top of your booking page, a banner will read "Support [Your Business Name]"—with the Contribute button right there to make a quick donation. Upon clicking the Contribute button, clients will then be walked through the steps to enter their credit card info and finalize the payment. They'll even have the option to add an extra $1 to help cover processing fees. 👌
Keeping Track of Donations
As clients begin donating, you'll receive an email with each donation—with the client's name and how much they gave. You'll also be able to keep track of these transactions using the Transaction Report. And as a heads up, any donation will be listed as a "We Care Contribution" right on your transaction list. If you're using the Sales Summary Report, any donation will be considered a "custom item," so you can look for your totals there. We will also email receipts to clients for their records as well.
Not Seeing the Contribute Banner on Your Booking Page?
In order for clients to make a donation to your business, you'll wanna first ensure you have a payment processor connected to handle those funds. We have a couple options to consider for payments: our own built-in payment processor, Schedulicity Pay, or you can connect your Stripe account.
Once you have a payment processor connected, that Contribute button will automatically show up on your page. 👍
How to Remove the Contribute Button
If you'd like to remove the Contribute button from your booking page, you can do that by logging into your account and heading to the Business Listing page. Like this:
Click the three lines in the upper left and open the Marketing tab
Click on the Business Listing tile
Click the "Edit" button off to the right beside "Tip Jar"
Uncheck the box for "Display Tip Jar banner"
Click the "Done" button at the bottom
