Been looking for a way to know if a client's auto-billing failed? Or if they have any unsigned waivers? Or simply looking to create a custom alert to view at ease right from the class roster, or when you book their next appointment?

Good news! With alerts, you can view pertinent info about your clients right from a class or workshop roster, from the new appointment page, or on their appointment details. This ensures you're made aware of auto billing issues, unsigned liability waivers, or any other info about a client when it is most useful! 🙌

Custom alerts vs system alerts

There are two different types of alerts, custom and system, and here's a little breakdown on those goodies:

  • Custom alerts can be added to a client from their profile. This could be anything from allergies, injuries, IOUs, warnings—basically anything about a client that needs to be communicated during the check in process between providers or just as a "note to self." And, not to worry, clients are not able to see any of these alerts.

  • System alerts are generated automatically by the system for two reasons: failed auto billing or unacknowledged waivers (if those are activated in your account).

For the visually-inclined, here's a little preview of what to expect in the roster view when an alert is in place:

Here's a peek at what those alerts look like for an appointment on the appointment calendar:

The alert you'll see when booking a client with an alert:

Create a custom client alert

  1. Open your Client list, and click on a client's name to open their profile

  2. Under the "Client Alerts" area, click the "add/edit alert" button

  3. Fill in your alert note and be sure to hit "save"

Now, you'll see that note called out right from the class or workshop roster, and within their appointment details. How neat is that?

At the end of the day, client alerts are a beautiful way to increase communication about your clients—whether that's at a system level or a personal level.
